On September 6th, 2009 Liquid Church in New Jersey canceled it's Sunday morning services and over 1,200 people participated in Rock and Run for Africa. The church raised over $75,000 in one day for clean water in Africa.

In September 2009, over 1,200 people ran, walk, rolled, and strolled to bring Clean Water to Africa. The 5K "Rock-&-Run for Africa" was hosted by Liquid Church in New Jersey, which cancelled weekend services to bring the Cause to an entire city. To date, over $250,000 has been donated to fund Clean Water Wells.

MORRISTOWN — With their pastor's blessing, members of Liquid Church skipped services Sunday and instead hung out at the Morristown Green listening to rock music and eating pulled pork sandwiches. That was after they raised more than $70,000 to bring clean water to Africa.
